Happy Valentines Day...Thump Thump--Thump Thump

My Valentines Day consisted of:
-seeing two boys i had crushes on in middle school
-getting my hair done
-looking cute and being brave to flirt with boys in my class
-having a friend set me up on a date with someone in her ward
-receiving 3 cards! yes 3! thank you dad, oma, and megan (my sisterrr)
-receiving a box of chocolates from a nice boy
-having a texting poems session as a thank you for the chocolates
-reading some special emails that make my heart happy
-being sung to "Sweet Valentine" (really Sweet Caroline) and this other song at the doorway while i was in my PJ's by a dear friend and his acapella group (where all my neighbors drooled with envy
-oh, and seeing another crinkle
All and all....this usually NEVER happens<3

Sisters

It seems that true friends are few and far between. I somehow have been blessed by them throughout every stage of my life. The majority of mine have come as answers to my prayers. Many times my true friends and family have overlapped and the difference remains a blur. There are those people in your life that you will never forget. For me, engraved in my memory are looks from the young and old. Whether they be my friends who range from 16 years younger to 10/30 years older than me they either taught me something, gave service to me in many ways, or simply helped me grow they all have one thing in common. They have all brought me joy. I only picture these people with love and a smile, no matter what we've been through.

I don't have any sisters. And there will always be those who I would consider close enough friends to be my sisters; but I think I have a glimpse of what it would be like to be loved and love like a sister would. A simple crash-course for the experience is to move away and live with the right people, the right set of girls, the right type of friends who become more than a friend ever would or could. There names might just be Alyssa, Baylee, LauraDawn, Kirsten, and Sydney (do you like how i alphabetically arranged their names?)

These five beautiful girls have changed my life. They teach me so much. I love them so much. Did you know all 5 of them were dating nice RMs? Yes, that meant I was the only single one. Which gave me plenty of time to just love them. It's a special feeling when you know how each other's strengths and weaknesses. When we learn that we all were raised in different situations and with different people. We all have the same destination but different ways of getting there. And no way is right or wrong. They're just different.

Heaven On Earth

I have a Top 10 of reasons why I love BYU so much. I know the temple isn't really classified as "BYU", but while I've been at college I have had the pure joy to go often and its made the list! I'm always down for a temple trip, ALWAYS. It takes about 3 minutes to get to the temple and even if I don't go inside, its a lovely place to just sit and think, especially with the mountains that are drop dead gorgeous in the background. The last two years Ive been going around once a week and love the time I spend in there thinking, reading, praying, celestial-napping. Last week I woke up early and went on Saturday morning. It was packed, but not as bad as I thought it could have been. Anyways, there were bunch of little twelve year-old boys sitting around waiting. And oh boyyyy did they crack me up. One of my favorites was sitting on a bench doing this:
Needless to say, how could I not smile?
